To conduct high-quality, innovative research on hybrid quantum systems.

Research Directions

  1. Cavity QED with electrons on helium
  2. Quantum memories for superconducting circuits using electron spin ensembles
  3. Quantum Computing with Superconducting circuits

Research Facilities

Brand new lab to be commissioned in January 2011. The lab will have a cryogen free dilution cryostat with high homogeneity magnet and a dedicated electron beam evaporation system. Supporting facilities include optical and electron beam lithography capabilities.

Qualifications

  1. Ph.D. or equivalent degree in experimental quantum physics.
  2. Experience with fabrication, microwaves, and/or superconducting circuits will be an asset
